Schaefer Box & Pallet Company • 11875 Paddy’s Run Road, Hamilton, OH 45013 • Tel: (513) 738-2500 • Fax: (513) 738-1605 •  Email   Home About Us Capabilities Pallets/Skids Boxes Crates Exhibit Boxes ISPM - 15  Quote Requests: Pallets/Skids Boxes /Crates Definitions Site Map Contact Us ISPM-15 Standard Since March of 2002 the IPPC or International Plant Protection Committee has set guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in international trade.  The ISPM-15 Standard applies to both softwood (coniferous) and hardwood (non-coniferous) packaging.  Both types of wood must be either heat treated (HT) to (56 degrees C for thirty minutes) or fumigated (MB) with methyl bromide.   The following countries have begun to enforce the ISPM-15 Standard, according to the WTO or World Trade Organization:   Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, European Union, Guatemala, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, and Turkey   Shipments from United States to Canada are exempt from ISPM-15 Standard   The ISPM-15 Standard is ever-changing and can be confusing.  We have the ability to heat treat or fumigate, therefore please call to learn how you will be affected and how we can help you avoid problems  ISPM-15 HT Stamp Schaefer is licensed to provide certified, heat-treated products for export to the European Community.
